Delcie A. Halsey is a Speech Language
Pathologist and a board-recognized specialist in stuttering and
fluency disorders (BRS-FD) from the American
Speech-Language-Hearing Association. In 1996, she was selected
to attend the workshop for stuttering specialists at
Northwestern University sponsored by the Stuttering Foundation
of America where she trained under nationally recognized fluency
specialists. Delcie has been formally trained in the Lidcombe
Program of Early Stuttering Intervention by Elisabeth Harrison
from Australia. She earned a Master’s Degree in Speech Language
Pathology and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor‘s of
Science Degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from
the College of New Jersey. She
treats a variety of disorders including: stuttering, cluttering,
articulation, myofunctional therapy (tongue thrust), accent
reduction, aphasia, swallowing, voice, language learning
disabilities related to Down Syndrome and Autistic Spectrum
Disorders, and dyslexia. She has her own private practice,
consults for school districts and works in Hospital Home Care.
On October 19, 2009 Delcie was awarded her 4th ASHA Award for
Continuing Education (ACE).
